Its tremendous power is generated by a robust spring piston power plant cocked by a side lever action that shoots .177 caliber pellets up to 1100 fps. The substantial one-piece stock allows for comfortable offhand shooting and the precision rifled, fixed barrel system is loaded via the sliding breech opening. Other features of the RWS 48 include a two-stage adjustable trigger, windage- and elevation-adjustable rear sight, and automatic safety.
